How pieces move

Tablut is played on a 9x9 board. The attackers are the larger army of sixteen soldiers. The defenders are fewer, but they guard their king on the central castle. The attackers move first. Every piece moves in a straight line, like a rook in chess: as far as you like, but never through another piece.
