How to Play Connect Four
Connect Four is a classic two-player connection game in which the players first choose a color and then take turns dropping colored discs from the top into a seven-column, six-row vertically suspended grid. The pieces fall straight down, occupying the next available space within the column.
Objective
Be the first player to form a horizontal, vertical, or diagonal line of four of one's own discs.
Setup
The game is played on a vertical grid with 7 columns and 6 rows. The board starts empty. Player 1 plays with Red discs, and Player 2 (or AI) plays with Yellow discs.
Gameplay
Players take turns choosing a column to drop one of their colored discs. The disc falls to the lowest empty slot in that column. You cannot drop a disc into a full column.
Winning
The game ends when a player successfully places four of their discs in a consecutive line (horizontal, vertical, or diagonal). If the board fills up completely without any player connecting four, the game is a draw.
