About Amazons
Amazons (also called Game of the Amazons) is a territory control strategy board game where each move changes the board permanently. Your amazons move like chess queens, then you fire an arrow that blocks a square forever.
As the board fills up, the game becomes a race to secure more usable space than your opponent. Strong play is about planning partitions and keeping mobility in the areas you want to own.

Try to keep your amazons connected to large regions early, then convert that space into a winning endgame by blocking critical corridors.

How to play Amazons
A turn in Game of the Amazons has two steps: move one amazon like a queen, then shoot an arrow from the new square in any straight line to block a target square.
A player who cannot make a legal move on their turn loses. There are no captures, only movement and blocking.
Improve by learning strategy
Amazons strategy is about territory, not tactics. Divide the board so you get more total mobility than your opponent, and avoid giving them an escape route into your region.
In the late game, count reachable squares and use arrows to seal borders. A small mistake can turn a winning region into a dead end.
